How To

Repairing A Drone's Damaged Motor

You must first identify the damaged part of your motor before you can fix it. The best way to do so is to take the propeller off the motor shaft. Then you should remove any wires attached to the motor and look at the inner workings of the motor itself. If there is something wrong with the motor, you will know which part you need to repair.

You don't need to worry if there's no damage to your motor. However, a motor that looks like the one below will require you to replace certain components before you can fly again.

Imagine a motor that isn't turning anymore because it has been bent. The motor will need to be bent back into its original shape. You could use a vice grip or a pair of pliers to hold the motor while bending it back into shape. After you have completed this step, be sure to inspect the motor for any signs of wear.

Once everything looks good, you can put the propeller back on the motor shaft. Then, reattach the wires. Your drone is now ready to fly!
