What is a "Battery Pack" and how can it be replaced?

A battery pack is the main power source for the motors of your drone. They provide enough power for your quadcopter to fly smoothly and safely.

Most likely, there won't be any noticeable difference in the batteries of a new drone. But your battery pack will eventually become less efficient over time. It might eventually stop functioning altogether. You'll need to replace your battery pack to ensure that your drone continues to work properly.

When replacing a battery pack, it's best to use an original replacement part. A faulty battery pack could cause serious damage to your drone.

To replace a battery pack, follow these steps:

  1. Disconnect your battery connector cable. This step ensures that your drone doesn't receive any electrical current. To disconnect the battery connector cable, simply pull it away from the drone.
  2. Unscrew and remove the battery pack. The battery pack should be removed from the quadcopter's base. The battery pack will usually fall apart into two pieces.
  3. Locate the contact points. After you've taken out the battery pack, search for the battery contacts. These pins attach the battery to the other parts of the drone.
  4. Install the new battery. Next, attach the new battery to the drone. Align the connectors for the battery pack on each side. Next, insert the battery package onto the drone. Once done, tighten the bolts holding the battery pack in place.
  5. Reattach the battery connector cables. Connect the drone's battery connector cable once you have installed the new pack.
  6. You should test your drone. Test your drone before flying it again. If it does, congratulations!
